Former convener of AAP in Punjab Sucha Singh Chhotepur on Friday continued to object over the two lists of candidates declared by the party for the next assembly elections.
He even hinted at a “secret deal” between AAP and Akalis in the coming assembly elections, saying: “It seems to me that in this whole story about ticket distribution, they (AAP leaders) have colluded with the government, that we will field poor candidates. Out of 32 candidates declared, there is revolt in 25 constituencies. I’m not a member of the PAC but they don’t even consult even as the state convener.” Meanwhile, SAD has described as “shocking in the extreme” the sensational disclosures made by Chhotepur about Delhi CM and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s anti-Sikh and “most disparaging and humiliating remarks” ridiculing the pain of being excommunicated from the Panth, said a SAD spokesperson. “It may be recalled that Chhotepur had earlier in the day made public a conversation between him and Kejriwal. According to Chhotepur, in this conversation, when he explained his inability to defend the imprint of broom on the image of Golden Temple.”
‘Leadership never trusted Punjabis’
“They (AAP leadership) never trusted Punjabis. If not me, they could have trusted others like H S Phoolka, Kanwar Sandhu and Sukhpal Khaira. Till the last minute these three tried to ensure that the issue has been resolved… I tried to meet Kejriwal but I’m a small fry for him.”
‘Let people decide’
“If Manish Sisodia has recorded my meeting with him, I want that it should be made public along with the sting (video) clip so that people are able to make up their own mind about my credentials.”
‘Durgesh power centre'”There was a meeting in Delhi where it was pointed out that there is need for unity in Punjab leadership. I said that the power centre in Punjab is the national organizing secretary Durgesh Pathak. He is the one who is making people join the party and also deciding on ticket distribution. “There is no treasurer or state committee for Punjab. I admit that people used to hand over cash to me. I functioned for more than two years with no financial support, touring the entire state. I don’t know who the people are handing over Rs 2 lakh in the clip. I am willing to have the CBI look
